Having an icon for a course could really come in handy if you want to upload a Scorm 1.2 course, build a course in Easy Course Builder (ECB), or update an existing course.

From your dashboard select Courses followed by Overview.

The whole point of this application is to create a correctly sized 60 pixel by 60-pixel thumbnail icon. Confused? Let’s make this sound a bit less technical! So, a ‘thumbnail’ is what we call a small image, usually a preview of the larger original image. And all images are made up of ‘pixels’, and these are basically the tiny parts that make up an image. So, the bigger the image, the more parts (pixels) it will have!

The platform is compatible with most common digital image types, including JPEG, PNG, and GIF. You don’t need to know the ins and outs of image file types; it’s just worth checking when you upload an image. You can usually see the file type in the image name or description.

So, get your image ready (if it’s already square then it’ll be quicker!) and select Upload:

Use the image corner markers to finesse:

… and then select Download Road Map Icon.

Right-click and pick Save image as

… and save it, with a suitable file name, to your computer.

Once the image is saved to your computer, you can close this page in your browser and select Courses followed by Edit for the course you want the roadmap image for:
