Why would you do that? So, you’ve created and deployed a course and it’s received rave reviews! Some of the feedback you’ve had is “this is great, and it would be good for our international partners to see this. However, they have different rules so could you just tweak what you’ve done just for them?”
One way would be to build them a new course from scratch – great if you’ve developed a course script and you don’t mind al that copying and pasting again!
Or what you could do instead is take a copy of the current course and then re-create it into a new course – with a new course code – and then you just need to edit that new course!
And here’s how:
First thing to mention is that you can only duplicate a course if you are the owner of that course. So, if it wasn’t you that made the course, you’ll need to find the person that did!
Pick the Duplicate Course option:
Give your new course a unique course code and select Submit:
Note: There is a 20 character limit on courses codes which you cannot exceed:
You now have a copy of your original course:
Top tip: Use this duplicate feature to create similar courses, so make your new course code relevant to the old course as well as the new course, so that it’s obvious to your fellow ECB course creators.
Note: Changing ownership of a course is an admin feature, so if you need to duplicate a course and you do not currently have ownership, then drop us a line at support@upskillpeople.com and we’ll take care of it for you.
If you need to duplicate a course and you cannot see the Duplicate Course option, then drop us a line at support@upskillpeople.com and we’ll take care of it for you.
