Welcome to Upskill People’s learning platform! It’s a pleasure to have you on board.
First things first! We’re not going to bamboozle you with talk about “organisational structures”, “job types”, “learning profiles”, “automated imports”, or even “Easy Content Builder” - there’s plenty of time for that when you start to grow how you implement this learning platform within your business.
For now, you just need to know:
that you’ve got a learning platform with the solution you’ve chosen from Upskill People
that, for each person, you can choose an appropriate set of courses
that you’re going to be the “Admin” person - this means that you’re the one who’ll be adding your people
Here’s how.
What the learners see
When your team members login for the first time it’ll most likely be because they received an email, a bit like this one:
They just need to press the Start learning button to get going, and they’ll simply log in and see their courses:
How do you get to this point?
You’re the “Admin person” so Upskill People will have done some preparation work behind the scenes to help you shine!
And, just so you know, you’ll have:
your platform branding already set up for you
a place to “put” your people in
a selection of “course packages” to give to each person
just the tools you need to add in your people and see reports on how they're progressing
So all you really need to do to get going is to start adding your people!
From your Learners menu, pick + Add Learner:
… and it’s just a simple form to fill out:
You’ll need to type in (or copy and paste) their:
Username (simple text or, better, their email address)
First Name and Last Name (so you know who you are looking at in Reporting)
Email address (so that we can send them a link to log in and get cracking!)
The rest you just pick from the drop-down menus you can see. When you first got in touch with us we will have agreed some “course packages” with you - so just look for those in the drop-down menus and pick the one that is relevant to the person you’re creating.
Press Add user when you’re done and we’ll send them a log in link, and you’ll see who you’ve created in your Learners section:
That’s it! Just keep doing the same for everyone else in your team.
And, from time to time, log in and check out your Reporting menu and see how the team are getting on.
