You’ll find Report Builder in the Reporting Tools section on your Reporting menu:
You’ll see all of the reports you’ve created yourself, and if this is your first time in you might like to check out the Report Builder glossary, it’s a great way to get up-to-speed on the individual reporting elements and how they fit together to build your overall reporting picture.
Press Create to get started:
Give your report a name (you can always change it afterwards) and press Create Report:
Report Builder is clearly laid out as three main components to help you navigate quickly:

… and, of course, Fin is always on hand when you need it.
Use Manage Columns to pick the data fields you need, your columns will appear immediately, and your report will build before your eyes:
Here are a few important things you should be aware of:
Toggle the data slider to the right if you want to include it in your report, the slider will turn green:
Use Filters to refine your report data. The Account Active filter is included by default; you can quickly remove it if you need to. Press Add Filter to refine your data further:
Filters generally fall into 3 main areas:
text-based – use this when you want to search for a word or phrase e.g. names and places:
Use if Matches for whole words or phrases.
Use if Text contains for words or phrases contained within longer textual data.
date-based – use these for date-related data like Joining Date or Last Completed, these come with a built-in date picker for accurate results across date ranges. Pick a From date and/or a To date:
True or False – often referred to as Boolean data, think of this as filtering on “yes” or “no”, great for including active people and mandatory content:
If you get distracted, Report Builder will let you know if something’s not quite right:
When you’ve picked all the filters you need, press Save:
Your learning data is updated automatically, Report Builder will show you when your data was last updated.
