Linking to an email address using Easy Content Builder

Easy Content Builder helps you link a variety of assets within a course. Imagine you’re building an induction course, and you want to introduce your key players and explain how to get in touch with them.

What you’re going to achieve in the next few minutes is to quickly add an email address beneath some existing content in your fabulous e-briefing.

Updating your content…

Let’s go back to our simple e-briefing and create a new revision.

Pick your course:

And press Add Revision:

Press Edit:

Find your content section, and, in the place where you want to add an email address, look for the “plus” icon and press it!

What do you want to add? In this case, it’s some text, so press Text then Add content:

You can now add your message. Make sure you include the email address in full so that you can highlight it with your cursor and press the link icon:

Copy the same email address into the URL field and press Save (leave the Title field blank):

This bit’s really helpful, it’ll recognise that this is an email address, so press Yes so that it works when you click on it:

Now we can Save it and Preview it to check that it works as we would like:

Test your email link and Exit Module Preview mode:

Time to Publish again:

Add a quick reminder of what we did, and press Publish:
