Next up, we’re going to add a video that we’re hosting from our Vimeo account, and we do this because it lets us stream the right video to the right device at the right time!
Pick your course:
Create a new Revision:
And Edit:
… and edit your module content:
In this example, we’re going to add a new section:
Give it a name, background colour and add it:
Next, add a video, so pick Large video and description and Add layout:
Give your video a heading:
… and then a description:
Now we’re ready to add that video that you’ve already uploaded to your Vimeo account. Press Add video:
Whenever you upload a video to your Vimeo account, it will create a new and unique reference number:
This is the number that we need! All you need to do is enter it in the Embed a single video field (you can copy and paste it from your URL window in Vimeo if you want to get it spot on!), and then press Fetch:
P.S. We have an audacious plan to make this even easier in the future by connecting Easy Content Builder directly to your Vimeo account. This is what the “Connect” button is designed to do, and we’ll let you know as soon as this is available!
For now, check your video over and if you’re happy with it, press Use video:
If this video is part of your mandatory content plan, and everyone must watch it (so it’s a good idea to ask some questions about it in your mastery quiz!), you can flip the slider to block further content until watched. In this example, we’re happy to leave this as optional, so press Save.
